The 2012MY Demio, which we all know right here because the Mazda2, is the introduction of the model new “13-SKYACTIV” model grade outfitted with a suite of fuel-saving technologies most important of which is the “SKYACTIV-G 1.3” 1.3-liter direct-injection gasoline engine.

The 2012 Mazda Demio 13-SKYACTIV is gear with engine based on the Japanese norms, the four-cylinder powerplant includes a record high compression ratio of 14.0:1, 15% improve of fuel effectivity and torque, and a 4-2-1 exhaust system, cavity pistons, multihole injectors and a few of the expertise that makes SKYACTIV “Only the sky is the limit” after all. and places out eighty four-horsepower at 5, 400 rpm and 112 Nm (82.6 lb-ft) of peak torque at four,000 rpm. It is coupled to a typical Repeatedly Variable Transmission.

The 2012 Mazda Demio 13-SKYACTIV comes equipped with an improved i-stop (start and stop) system and distinctive to this model aero-parts reminiscent of an engine under cover and a rear roof spoiler to manage airflow above and under the body.
Other bespoke features embody a blue metallic engine cover, blue headlight rings and an unique rear badge.
Mazda developed a system named i-DM that displays the movement of the steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedals, as well as the vehicle speed, to inform the driver about his expertise via a gauge and coloured lights on the dashboard.
“The score from each trip is used to calculate a driving ability degree, from Stage 1 to Stage 3. By progressing via the stages, drivers can feel that their driving abilities are improving,” says Mazda Motors Japan.
Mazda started taking pre-orders immediately for the facelifted Demio with first deliveries scheduled for June 30, 2011 Costs in Japan range from 1,149,000 yen to 1,621,750 yen (~US$14,400 to $20,300).

I have a Mazda Demio 2003. A whirring noise started in the back and a mechanic friend said it could be either a cv joint or a wheel bearing problem. I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever and as my mechanic friend has a broken leg (in 3 places) hes next to useless. How much would it be (roughly of course) to take it to the proffessionals. Im in NZ by the way, so if your not put what dollars you mean so i can convert it. Thanks
when i start to drive light stays on. If i stop the engine and starts light goes off. even then drive light comes on. this is a Mazda Demio 2006.
I saw a Mazda Demio for sale in a car trade. I like the space but is it worth to buy this car?
What i mean is the quality and reliability of this car. In asia this is known as Mazda2. I know that this has poor rating with driving performance but what I am afterr is the reliability.
I have no idea why, I changed a distributor cap, but it wasn’t that.
EDIT: I was driving fine, and it just dies on me.
